Yamaha FZ-S FI V2.0 VS Suzuki Gixxer
Yamaha and Suzuki, both are the Japanese two wheeler makers, are known by its iconic products and modern technology. Yamaha and Suzuki, both are the renowned companies of Indian market. Both the companies manage to retain their position in the Indian two-wheeler market by providing excellent products. The FZ is the most selling bike of Yamaha which that comes under the commuter segment. The company has upgraded the FZ in to second generation, named FZ-S FI V2.0. While the another Japanese giant, Suzuki offers its new 150cc product, named Gixxer. Both bikes give tough competition to each-other. Let’s find the best motorcycle.

Styling and Designing
The king of streets, Yamaha FZ has been upgraded in to the next generation, named FZ-S V2.0 which carries sporty and decent look. The new version look like younger and bulkier than previous version as the Yamaha India has redesigned it with stylish elements. The exhaust muffler has also been changed, named Midship Muffler which give a sporty look to the motorcycle. The bike produce a fiery look as it is featured with a muscular fuel tank.
On other side, the Suzuki Gixxer has succeeded to emplace itself in in the Indian two-wheeler market. The design and body cues are borrowed from the outgoing version of the Yamaha FZ. And, the technical and mechanical elements remain the same, excepting the few elements. The bike has a beefy fuel tank which gives magnificent look to the motorcycle. Moreover, the rear section looks more impressive with its new tail light and mounted number plate.
Both the motorcycles have received digital instrument cluster, that perfectly matches with their body profile. The Gixxer has featured with advance console which holds many details such as speedometer, techometer, side stand alarm, etc. The Gixxer’s instrument offers an advance facility of gear-shift whereas FZ does not has this type of feature.

Engine and Power
The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by an air-cooled, single cylinder and 155cc engine displacement which delivers the peak power of 14 BHP at 8,000 RPM and torque of 14 Nm at 6000 RPM. The engine is mated with five speed transmission. The motorcycle gives an outstanding performance as it is featured with large motor than Yamaha FZ.
Whereas the FZ-S FI V2.0 is loaded with 150cc engine. The power comes from the an air-cooled, single cylinder, 2 valves, BS IV and 149cc engine which churns out the peak power of 13 BHP at 8000 RPM and spire torque of 12.8 Nm at 6000 RPM.
Seating and Handing Power
Both bikes are street fighter as have not more considered on the seating position nevertheless they offer a better and dynamic seating posture. Talking about Gixxer, the bike offers a comfortable ride to rider as it is blessed with compact handlebar. It gives a dynamic handling power as it is featured with telescopic suspension at front and compact handle.
Yamaha FZ comes with split seats and wide handlebar which offer a comfortable riding position for rider and more space to the pillion. It has a broad tyre at rear that give is best for any kind of roads. FZ is more aggressive than Gixxer.
Each bike of them has been manufactured with many safety point such brakes, suspension, blinkers, headlamp and tail light. Talking about their brakes, both the street fighter have been equipped with “Bybre” disc brakes at front and drum brakes at rear which enhance your braking experience. Both bikes offer a dynamic balancing power as they are featured with 41mm telescopic shock absorbers suspension at front and monoshock at rear and Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) for clear visibility at night. FZ comes with 3-steps adjustable monoshock at rear while the Suzuki Gixxer comes with 7 steps adjustable monoshock at rear.
Price, Colors and Mileage
The Yamaha FZ-S FI V2.0 is sold in the Indian two wheeler market at the price of Rs. 83,674 (Ex-showroom) in New Delhi. The bike is available in Various colors such as Hurricane Gray, Knight Red, Lightning Cyan, Opal White and Matt Green. The bike delivers a better mileage as it is blessed with fuel injection system which is used for linear power deliver and increase fuel efficiency. It gives a better mileage of 55 KMPL.
Whereas the Gixxer provides a good mileage of 45 mileage as it is loaded with fuel Carburettor system. The bike is available in the market at INR 77,452 on drum variant and 80,528 on rear disc (Ex-showroom). It has 3 total number of colors as Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mira Red/ Glass Sparkle Black.
Based on the all points of view, seems that, the Suzuki Gixxer has won the war. Whereas, the competition was very tough between Gixxer and it was very complex to find out who is the best, but nevertheless the Suzuki Gixxer ejected ahead.
